Tire and Wheel Info
31 x 10.50 on a standard offset wheel
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: The provided tire/wheel fitments are approximate.
Actual dimensions of a given tire size can vary considerably from one brand to another.
Manufacturers’ wheel offset and backspacing measurement points are not always consistent.
Backspacing greatly impacts tire-to-fender clearance when turning.
Wheel width and backspacing influence whether the tires protrude past the fenders, and to what extent.
Considering these important factors, we recommend that you fit-check your tire/wheel selection prior to purchasing.
Extra Cab models with two piece driveshaft may experience driveline vibration under acceleration from rubber cased carrier bearing. May require lowering the carrier bearing (full-size) or replacing the driveshaft with a one piece unit (Ranger).
87-88 Ranger with factory 1.5″ lift option will get 1.5″ less lift than shown.
Superunner steering must not be used on lifts in excess of 6″.
New pre-set coil springs provide front lift; lift blocks raise the rear. A replacement pitman arm relieves drag link angle.
Axle pivot brackets, laser-cut from .25″ steel plate, lower the inboard ends of the axle beams and restore camber. New camber alignment bushings, available from your local alignment shop, may be required to precisely “dial-in” camber angle; this need varies from one vehicle to the next.
There are two methods for correcting caster angle. Our Standard kit features brackets that lower the factory radius arms at their frame (rear) end attaching points, while our Superunner kit features replacement radius arms.
The lift kit includes front and rear Superide shocks.
The optional Superunner Steering System conversion is recommended for optimal driveability. Poly radius arm bushings are included in the Superunner kit, and a recommended option for the Standard kit.
